What is the size of a cup "of coffee?

Wikipedia says it is 6 oz coffee but my Lord is calibrated in 5 oz "cup" and my Braun coffee maker is calibrated in 4.2 cups of Oz "." All this is rather irrelevant, because most people drink coffee in cups that are 12 ounces or more, but it's annoying. Must be confusing for some people.

I have a '12 'Cup USA made coffee. I make 8 cups of coffee and get 2.5 cups of coffee outside. I measured the cups at once and are only 4 oz which means that when I have company I am constantly having to make another pot of coffee. I wish the manufactors awakened to the fact that most of us drink more than 4 ounces of coffee at a time!
